Results from earlier BTO Atlases

Previous BTO Atlases have been THE source of information on the distribution and abundance of British and Irish birds. Three atlases have been produced to date:

Breeding Atlas I

For the first time the distribution maps produced in these landmark publications are now available online. Through these pages and the link below you can view the distribution of breeding birds species in 1968-72 and 1988-91, plus changes in breeding distribution between these two periods. Additionally you can view the winter distribution of bird species in 1981/82-83/84.
