Dr Juliet Vickery
Position
Head of the Terrestrial Ecology Unit
Role
I am the head of a unit that comprises 12 members of staff with research focussing largely on conservation issues associated with birds of farmland, woodland and urban habitats as well as the development and production of breeding and wintering bird atlases
Qualifications
BA (Hons), Zoology, 1984 (University of Oxford)
DPhil Natural Sciences, 1988 (University of Oxford)
Research Interests/Responsibilities
My main research interest relates to the ways in which habitat change, particularly within agricultural systems, impact on the numbers, distribution, demography and behaviour of birds. My work in this area is largely UK based but I also have projects in east and west Africa.
